HPMicro Semiconductor and SEGGER(SEGGER Microcontroller GmbH), a leading international supplier of embedded development systems, recently announced that through a buyout license, HPMicro Semiconductor is offering a free copy of SEGGER's multi-platform Integrated Development Environment (IDE) "Embedded Studio" to all customers using its HPM6000 series RISC-V microcontrollers to jointly promote the development of the RISC-V ecosystem.
Embedded Studio is a compact, professional embedded development tool using C and C++ languages. It comes with a powerful project building and management system, a source code editor with code auto-completion and folding, and a sub-package management system for downloading and installing software support packages for development boards and devices. It also includes SEGGER's highly optimized runtime library emRun, the floating-point library emFloat, and SEGGER's intelligent linker, all tailored for resource-constrained embedded systems. Its built-in debugger includes all the necessary functions to work with J-Link, providing excellent performance and stability.

The HPM6000 family of real-time RISC-V microcontrollers from HPMicro Semiconductor was released in December 2021 and is in full production.
The flagship of the series, the HPM6750, sets a new MCU performance record of 9220 CoreMark and 4651 DMIPS, with dual RISC-V cores running at up to 816 MHz. HPM6000 series MCUs include dual-core HPM6750, single-core HPM6450 and entry-level HPM6120, all equipped with double-precision floating-point unit and powerful DSP extension instructions, built-in 2MB SRAM, rich multimedia functions, motor control module, communication interface and security encryption. The HPM6000 has abundant computing power and can accelerate the development of applications such as industry 4.0, smart home appliances, edge computing, and the IoT.
